James is the founder and President of Davis Financial Strategies and an Advisor with Commonwealth Financial Network®. With over 29 years of experience in the financial services industry, James values the strong personal relationships he has built with his clients. He takes the time to understand each client’s unique financial situation, crafting customized strategies to help them achieve their financial goals.
Specializing in comprehensive financial planning and investments, James focuses on assisting pre-retirees in preparing for a secure and comfortable retirement. His approach is centered on long-term planning, providing personalized service, and offering detailed follow-up without any pressure.
A native of Illinois, James earned his Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Western Illinois University in 1994. He holds Series 6, 7, 63, and 65 registrations with Commonwealth Financial Services®, enabling him to serve as a fiduciary asset manager.
Outside of his professional work, James is deeply committed to supporting local charities and organizations. He has raised over $20,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and enjoys contributing to causes he believes in. James is a board member of Ronald Knox Montessori School, a member of the Skokie Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Greater North Shore Estate & Financial Planning Council (GNSE&FPC).
James resides locally with his wife and three children. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, volunteering at church, playing tennis, traveling, and visiting national parks. He is also a passionate sports fan, cheering on the Cubs, Blackhawks, Bears, and Bulls.
